Long gone are the days when I had to worry about being relegated to the "kids table" for Thanksgiving dinner. But I must say, had it looked like this, I may have never wanted to graduate to the grown-up table...
Simple.
Cute.
Inexpensive,
yet special for the little one's that sit there.
Add any combination of these kid-friendly crafts into the mix to keep them busy and, I'd say, you have a recipe for success!
Let them make their very own Turkey's, feather's and all, out of a winter glove...
Let them make place holders for all of the dinner guests.
A rustic, yet elegant, craft that starts with a pinecone...
Let them be the center of attention with this handmade table topper...
Want to let them get really creative?
Let them spend some time layering on nuts, grains, spices, pebbles, leaves and twigs to make their very own wild turkey...
Let them make colorful Indian Corn using tissue paper and raffia...
And instead of pie for dessert, how about a little more turkey?
I think they'll all be game for this kind...
See?
It would be fun to sit at the kids table again, right?
Owen already has his eye on a few of these crafts, so we'll be saving them for the big day.
My personal favorites...the Turkey made out of the glove and the Pinecone Turkey Place Holder.
Adorable!
